Gameplay

While Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall is the first game to have a deep interactive system, which we haven’t seen in any other Game of Thrones games. In short, the gameplay will have everything a Game of Thrones fan can ask for. Starting with the basics, it puts you in the shoes of Lord Commander, which means you get to lead the Night’s Watch and defend the Westeros from any threat. You can choose from the icon GOT characters to play the role of Lord Commander. These include Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Jaime Lannister, Melisandre, and Tormund Giantsbane. Each of these characters has a different skill set and abilities which you will have to master.

Being the Lord Commander, you can recruit men from different kingdoms. Crossbowmen of Westerlands, Scoundrels of Kings Landing, and Dornish Spearmen, you can call upon all kind of fighter to guard the Wall. Once you are set, there are plenty of things you can do. Send ravens far and wide, explore the haunted forest, command ranging parties, or defend the Wall against wildlings, there is literally everything. Also, there is a huge deal of historic events. You can basically dive into the past of Three-Eyed Raven and get to meet new characters such as First Ranger, Alvar Spyre and Mayla.

As for the battles, there are different game modes and each offers a unique battle experience. So there isn’t just the interactive battles but diversity as well. The battlefields are hand-crafted, which is something to look forward to. There is a classic grid combat system at the core of all the battle-related features. It is still unclear how things progress on the battlefield as we have limited information but from the images, it looks better than the rival GOT-based games.
