Trap Labs is the latest action-puzzle game by developer 1337 Packet. It is a cross-platform game where players can work against each other, which is unusual, considering the fact that cross-platform traditionally is used to bind players together. Even the nature of puzzles in Trap Labs is quite different. The aim of Trap Labs is to help the main character Billy get across the room, dodging all the traps. The interesting thing is that up to 16 players can be in the room, working against you in most cases. So, getting to the other side doesn’t seem that easy. Gameplay

Trap Labs is an action-puzzle game set in a corporate building. Each floor of the building represents a puzzle and Billy, the lead character has to solve them to get to the top. Trap Labs is quite interesting and engaging, in terms of the concept. The notable things that come to the attention at first glance are the visuals, which are inspired by Fairly OddParents. One thing’s for sure, Trap Labs has got pretty good visuals and an engaging concept. The dodging patterns and fires in the repeating pattern that you would see in almost every puzzle are inspired by the bounds and mazes from classic RTS games.

Unlike most of the puzzle games, Trap Labs has a unique story-driven Campaign mode. It consists of 100 unique levels and keeps you busy for hours. Then there another 100 levels of fast-paced Level Up mode. This probably is the best feature of Trap Labs. It basically allows you to compete against players for top spot. The way it works is that 16 players work against each other in a multiplayer setting on a single puzzle. Whoever crosses to the other side wins. Then there are Co-op and Race style maps, where you can have fun in multiplayer competitions.

And just to put in a little bit of color, devs have thrown in hats, 30 to be precise. You can collect these weird hats, and customize to make Billy look different. The first 25 levels of both easy endless mode and online multiplayer are free-to-play whereas the rest can be unlocked by an in-app purchase of $4.99.
