Following Facebook, Viber Gets its Own Dark Mode
A couple of days ago, we showed you a trick to enable Dark Mode on Facebook Messenger. It appears the Dark Mode feature wasn’t exclusive to Messenger users. Following Facebook, Viber has received its own Dark Mode feature. However, the important thing to note here is that Viber Dark Mode feature has been rolled out officially whereas Messenger Dark Mode is still in testing and came out as a trick. While the giants like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp are still the leading messages apps, the smaller players like Viber aren’t giving up on the competitions. It is quite evident from the fact that Viber has been consistent with the features.
The change came in as a part of the latest update that brings a couple of other improvements as well. The update introduces the new Viber v10, which is a faster and simpler way to message. In addition to that, the design of the app gets a new sleeker look. However, the Dark Mode was the major feature that came along the update. Viber announced this update via a tweet which says to keep the room dark while others are trying to sleep. Unlike Facebook Messenger, you won’t have to rely on moon emoji to enable the dark mode. All you need is to update to the latest Viber v10 to get the dark mode.
