Facebook working on an all-white user interface for Android

A lot of changes are happening at Facebook especially after the recent confidentiality scandals. In response to the scandals, Facebook announced a comprehensive plan to address the issues and steps it will take towards a privacy-focused platform. However, privacy isn’t the only thing Facebook is working on. Recent reports suggest that Facebook is working on an all-white user interface for Android users. This isn’t the first time Facebook has been reported to be working on the user interface. Earlier this week we showed you a trick to enable dark mode on Facebook Messenger app. It was a bit surprising to see Facebook working on UI changes amidst all the privacy scandals.

In recent weeks, Facebook has undergone a lot of changes, which fit the bigger overhaul plan. This all-white user interface appears to be in line with the recent changes. If we inspect the screenshots that appears to indicate the changes, there aren’t many changes. The blue header is replaced by a white one whereas the active tab displays in grey. This gives the icon a contrasting look. Aside from these simple changes, the screenshots reveal an extra space for the shortcut in the header, which shows what’s relevant to you.

This new all-white user interface isn’t available yet and appears to be in a testing phase. However, we can deduce the fact that Facebook has a lot in the pipeline. There is neither a switch nor any trick to enable this new design interface. We will keep you informed about the new developments.
