Spotify reverses design change, brings back rewind button

Spotify is one of the leading music streaming applications. In order to stay among the leading pack, Spotify, like the rest, has to look for new ways. While all the leading apps almost appear similar to each other in terms of features and UI, there is always room for changes and improvements. However, the experiment to improve the features doesn’t always go the way it is planned. A similar kind of thing happened when recently Spotify decided to remove the rewind button from its app. Users were quick to criticize the move stating how annoying it gets to manually repeat the song. However, the good news is that this design change will reverse and Spotify rewind button will be back soon.

Yes, the Spotify rewind button is coming back. In fact, the update that brings back the repeat button is already rolling out. And guess what, the update doesn’t just bring back the Spotify rewind button. It also brings some slight interface changes as well, a damage control? Well, that might not be the reason, what’s done is done. Now coming to the update, as part of changes, you will now notice that the artists and song titles are now aligned to the left. The currently playing song now has a “Heart” button for saving the track. This is quite refreshing as previously this feature was limited to radio and curated playlists.

It’s good to have the rewind button back along with the other tweaks and changes. It sure is a relief as now we don’t have to resort to manually repeating our favorite songs. The latest update is already rolling out and will soon reach to you. If you haven’t received it yet, wait for a day or two for it to reach.
