The long wait is over, Valve has finally released the beta version of its awaited Dota Underlords. The release was surprising as it came without any big announcement. An Overview of Gameplay

Dota Underlords is developed pretty much on the theme of Auto Chess and it would be fair to call it as Valve’s adaptation of Auto Chess. The gameplay is unique in a number of ways from the traditional strategy games. Eight players battle against each other until one of them is left, who takes control of White Spire. This means, in the beginning, you will be on par with seven different opponents. After every turn, you will face a random opponent from the lot. At first, you are given access to a limited number of pieces, which are basically the fighters. Each piece is part of a class that comes with a unique skill set.

In total, there are five different classes. As you progress in the game, you are given the freedom to choose your pieces out of these five classes. Also, there is an Offline mode with 4 levels of difficulty where you can hone your skills. Aside from that, you can take part in the tournament, create private lobbies, and invite spectators to watch the fierce competitions. Another point worth mentioning about Dota Underlords is that the progress you make in the game is synced across the devices. For instance, if you have started a match on your PCs (PC version), you can switch over to your handheld devices and finish it.
